This may be old news to some on this list, but yesterday I noted that
the Eastern Bluebirds in Rock Creek Park had nested successfully. At the
beginning of my evening walk, I watched an adult male feeding a
fully-fledged juvenile near the horse center. Later on, I saw an adult
male accompanied by two youngsters in the trees near the dog run. I
cannot say for sure that this was the same family, but it seems likely
given this species' relative scarcity in D.C.
