This reminded me, I forgot to post . . . .
I saw a Snowy Egret at the Memorial Bridge on Saturday August 7, near the stairs where all of the gulls hang tend to hang out. I almost missed it as its body size and color blended in with the loafing gulls.

As of Sunday afternoon, an immature Snowy Egret was still foraging in
the marsh at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in NE DC. A subadult Bald Eagle
flew low over the marsh while I was there.
