A Louisiana (think I got it right this time - the one with the white
eye-stripe) Waterthrush just entered the bird bath, tossed a couple of
leaves out, teetered the length of the balcony rail, and contemplated the
Safflower feeder. A Cardinal and House Finch were hogging it though, so it
teetered back to the bird bath and worked on whatever goodies it was finding
there. Tried the feeder again but it was still occupied, so it moved on.

I was going to knock off early since I'm nursing new gum stitches - glad I
hung around! The WT made me forget all about that for a few minutes. I often
wonder, with all I've seen pass by, how much I've missed, since the
encounters are often so brief.
