I took the afternoon to head down after the Curlew Sandpiper and was not
disapointed. On the way down I had to kill some time until Jim Brighton got
of work. Stopped several time along Rt 309 and was stunned to find the imm.
White Ibis. Thanks Matt for posting dirrections, at least Mike Burchett saw
it. When I came back with Jim at 3pm, it was gone.

On Assateague we saw the Curlew Sandpiper along with another gentle man.
Other birds included 7 Black Tern, 1 Sandwich Tern, 6 Whimbrel, 18 Piping
Plover, 4 Red Knot. Saw a bunch of wild ponies too!
