Made the trip from Western MD to look for the curlew sandpiper. Walk up the beach to the white marker 8 and walked to the bay side could not locate it but did see mud flat a little north. Walk up to the mud flat and meet another birder ( Wade Stephens) who was looking for it. We both found the bird working the mud flats. We had some great views for about 1 to 1.5 hours. The bird is molting but still had a lot of red to it. We also got to see it fly a few time and could clearly see the white rump. Have a few photos and i will have to see how they turned out. I will post if any good. The mud flats that it was working were at post 7.5.
Good luck
