I didn't see the bird anywhere when I arrived after 7:15 yesterday evening. Rats.

As of 6:30 this evening, the glossy ibis was still at East Potomac Park,
in more or less the same area described by Michael Bowen. By the time I
arrived this evening, it had moved from the golf course (too many
golfers, I suppose) to the grassy strip between the road and Washington
Channel, just beyond the parking lot where the out-bound road becomes
one-way. I was able to watch it picking through the grass for some time
from about ten feet away; it did not seem disturbed by my presence or by
the bicycles racing past.
A hundred or more laughing gulls were gathered on the north end of the
golf course.
