Last night Bill and I spotted an Am Redstart near out feeder area, went outside to get a better look and spotted the Blue-Gray Gnatcher. The yard list goes up two more. Last week I heard the Wood Thrushes making a fuss, went to check and spotted the Barred Owl (who hoots with another almost every night) on the ground. It had its wings spread, eyes closed, sitting in the sun. After 10 minutes, or so, I opened the door and off it went. I think it had caught something and was, maybe, waiting it out? On a sad note our pair or Bobwhites is down to just the male. Is it too much to hope she is sitting on a nest?
