Sorry. I was just providing an alternative outlet. I admit I am selfish and wish to see many of our existing birds survive until I am too old to walk and carry a spotting scope. I want to show future generations the beauty of a Red Knot foraging for Horseshoe Crab eggs on the shore.

Politics are blood sports and part of our system for now. Sometimes you just have to stand up and say a few words and take a few jabs. But, I knew that there would be others who would not appreciate the posts and respectfully, I understand that perspective too. No other flogging is necessary.

Thank you Norm!

I have gone for years, Nay, decades without having a clue as to the political
affiliation of many of my birding friends. And you know what? It's really
better that way. Religion, too. There are plenty of ways to vent one's
spleen without bringing it into the safe harbor of birding. I would vote to keep
it that way. Besides, Norm is dusting off his six-pound sledge as we type.
