Jim Brighton phoned me just a bit ago to inform me that he had found a field
along Rt. 307 full of shorebirds. Rt. 307 runs between Hurlock and
Federalsburd in Dorchester County. The birds were in a plowed field on the
southeast side of the road. He said birds were coming and going as he was
talking to me. Present were 3 Golden Plover, 2 Buff-breasted Sandpipers, 1
Baird's Sandpiper, 3 Pectoral Sandpiper, and numerous Least and Semipalmated
Sandpiper.
