I got a real treat Sunday evening -- a Least Flycatcher perched on a wire, giving me a very good look at it, then sang for me several times. This was along the Patapsco River (Howard/Carroll County line).

There were lots of warblers in the tops of the trees, but I couldn't identify them because they were moving too fast and hidden behind leaves most of the time. So I don't know whether any of them were migrants.

There was also a group of about 4 fledged Hairy Woodpeckers with 1 larger Hairy (presumably an adult).

Two Ruby-throated Hummingbirds landed on some flowers just a few feet away from me and fed for a while, not at all unnerved by my presence.

Finally, I got a nice look at a Yellow-billed Cuckoo with quite noticeable rufous color on its wings.
