Migrants at last! This morning we birded western regional and found 2 SAVANNAH SPARROWS. Although it is under heavy construction there is still potential for sparrow activity. The sediment pond on Carr's Mill Rd held 1 SEMI-PALM PLOVER, SEMI-PALM SANDPIPER, 7 LEAST and KILLDEER. There were 30+ HORNED LARKS in the parking areas. Migrant warblers were scare with only a few here and there.
Yesterday's butterfly walk at centennial park turned up 2 CASPIAN TERNS, 1 GREAT EGRET and half a dozen flyover COMMON NIGHTHAWKS.
