This morning, about 8:15 I saw what I believe to be a Least Flycatcher
at Middle Patuxent Environmental Area. The bird was a very gray Empidonax
flycatcher, with prominent wing bars. I failed to note presence of an eye-
ring. It vigorously flicked its tail the entire time I had it in view, less
than one minute. I entered from Trotter Rd. and took the first trail to
the right. The bird was on the right side in what some refer to as the
Sparrow Field.

Otherwise, in the trip between Trotter Rd. and Clegg Meadow, action was
slow. I saw 4-5 Magnolia Warblers, 1 Am. Redstart, 1 Veery, several shadowy
thurshes. There were catbirds everywhere, and no shortage of White-Eyed
Vireos. I only heard 1 Red-eyed.

At Greenbridge, Triadelphia Reservoir, about 9:00, there were 3 DC Cormorants,
5 Caspian Terns, and about half a dozen probably Least Sandpipers (distance
was long, light bad). And several Killdeer.

At Pigtail, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, half a dozen or so Killdeer, 1 Great Egret,
1 Great Blue, 1 Green Heron, 1 Osprey, 1 Caspian Tern.

Shorebirds continue at Western Regional. 6-7 Least, 2 Semi-Palm SP, and 1
Semi-Palm Plover. There were a number of Horned Larks about, maybe a
dozen.
