A single Red-necked Phalarope was swimming in the Potomac R. just above
the Seneca breaks between 8:30 - 9:30 am this morning. Other birds
along the towpath included Magnolia, Black and White Warblers, a Common
Yellowthroat, Scarlet Tanager, and Red Eyed Vireo.

The C & O Canal towpath north of Sycamore Landing yielded following
warbler species, American Redstart, Black-throated Blue and
Black-throated Green, Magnolia, Blue-winged, and Chestnut-sided. Other
birds included Rose-breasted Grosbeak, White-eyed and Red eyed Vireos,
Eastern Phoebe and Wood Pewee.

Limited views of the Summit Hall turf farm produced only Killdeer and an
American Kestrel.
