Blue Mash Nature Trail, Montgomery County, 11 Sep 04, 0715-0945

It was a 6 warbler morning along the BMNT today to include: 3-Black-throated
Green, 1-Black-throated Blue, 2-Magnolia, 1-Black & White, 1- Am. Redstart &
10+ Common Yellowthroat. The B-t Green, B-t Blue, Magnolia & B&W warblers
bring my BMNT list to 110 species.

Other migrants included: 1-Great Crested Flycatcher, 1-Yellow-billed Cuckoo
(calling), 1-E. Wood Peewee, 4-Empid species & 12+ Indigo Bunting.

Other birds of note: 1-Coopers Hawk (perched on the fenceline),
1-Broad-winged Hawk (juvenile perched on the top of a dead tree),
1-Red-shouldered Hawk (flyover), l-Am. Kestrel (flyover) & 2-Brown Thrasher.

A big thanks to the Montgomery County Waste Management folks for their
prompt response to my phone call earlier this week requesting removal of the
illegally dumped trash in the BMNT parking lot. Thanks also to the
Montgomery County Parks & Planning Commission volunteers who were busy this
morning trimming back foliage overhanging the trail.
