Bob And everyone the Birds were on Stevenson Halfway between sparks road
and ninetown Road on the left . My truck was sitting along the woods and
just before the lone older one story house on the right. at first the birds
were behind a high spot in the field over towards mason branch road. The
field also held . lots of Killdeer there and Horned larks . I had
forgoten to mention I also stopped there Sun at about 2:00 pm and just had
the same Birds that Bob saw. But I did Not Spend a whole lot of Time there.
Sparks Road , Mason Branch and Stevenson roads all border the same field.
This is the area that has Lapland Longspurs in the Winter. Hope this helps
Bob . While I am here I was also going to mention that in Reading the
old Md birdlLife on the CD That the first Buff Breasted Sandpiper were
sighted in Md on Sept 24 ,1957 in Waddells Corner near Hurlock Dorchester Co
.This is Not too far from Were Jim Brightion had Buff Breasted a couple of
weeks ago
The sighting In 57 was found by Sam H. Dyke in a recently tilled field This
was in The Dec 1957 Birdlife Vol 13 no. 4 . Enough of the history lesson .
HAPPY BIRDING Danny Poet Queenstown Md
