Hi MD Osprey:

When the MD/DC Records Committee updated the review list at last year's
annual committee meeting, we added Loggerhead Shrike to the list;
reviewable anywhere in MD. The species has declined drastically in MD and
now any shrikes seen in the state are more likely to be Northern Shrikes
than Loggerheads. One was reported recently on a mid-winter count. Reports
(written, photos, video) are welcome.

So, this is just a general reminder ... Northern Shrikes are NOT
reviewable, however Loggerhead Shrikes ARE.

The current MD/DCRC Review Lists (one for MD and one for DC) can be found
on the MD/DCRC web pages here ...

         http://www.mdbirds.org/mddcrc/rcindex.html

On the same pages, a suggested set of guidelines for documentation can also
be found.

Thanks.

Phil
