Hi all,


   Yesterday I went down to Lake Roland to find the
Glossy Ibis last reported on Tues 10/12. It was not
seen near the concrete storm drain platform. But got
something better, a Lincoln's Sparrow flushes with 50+
other sparrows along the embankment trail near the
concrete platform. It lands briefly in the scrub
allows me to study this bird for about 1 minute and 8
seconds. Winter sparrows are back and in greater
force.
   As soon as the sun warms things up, the swifts left
the hollow tree to form a kettle near the concrete
platform. It is late for them.
