I missed Thursday evening due to some virus that I'll blame on the flu vaccine shortage.  Is there such thing as a synopsis?  I'm in the market for a small digital camera, and while I'm not looking for the best, I'd like to avoid the worst.

And last Sunday - the last time I felt like looking through binoculars - a pale Red-tailed Hawk flew low over Q Street at Rock Creek, followed shortly thereafter by a couple lazy crows.  It didn't seem remarkable, but hey, Gail wants bird reports!

(It was actually the highlight of my week.)
