My rare bird this year is House Finch -- they have virtually disappeared
from our neighborhood. Haven't seen one at the feeder in months. (Still
plenty of House Sparrows, however.) Saw what were probably 4-5 Purple
Finches zip overhead yesterday so I guess they are now the "usual"
Carpodacus finch for the yard...
Hearing Red-breasted Nuthatches every few days as well -- in our pine trees.
