The Carroll County Bird Club walked through the southern part of
Morgan Run Natural Environment Area - grassy/weedy and
grassy/shrubby fields, mixed broadleaf/needleleaf forest, to the
fresh pond near the river. Observed 37 bird species in 3 hours,
including:

Sharp-shinned Hawk 4 (1 was hunting warblers with us)
Cooper's Hawk 1
Eastern Phoebe 2
Cedar Waxwing ca. 10
Golden-crowned Kinglet 3
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 5
Purple Finch 3
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER 1 (in the Russian Olive grove)
Palm Warbler - 3 (Eastern)

By 11 AM, most bird sound & activity had disappeared. Observers
were Dave Flora, Don Jewell, Jerry Tarbell, and myself.
