On the way back from Virginia today we stopped and walked along the C&O
across from Harpers Ferry. We saw several swallows out there feeding on the
river but did not get very great looks at any of them. They appeared to be a
mix of tree and rough-winged, but I wouldn't venture any positive ID. There
were quite a few of them, so swallow season isn't over.
