A visit to the Easton Waste Water Treatment Plant this morning turned up a
beautiful Ross' Goose, in intermediate plumage, so as to clearly stand out
amongst the flock of 900+ Canada Geese in the larger settling pond of the
facility. This bird carries lots of white, including a white neck all the
way down to the water line. At the water line, a few hints of grey do show
up.
Here at home (near Tunis Mills) some further observation through the
morning has turned up at least Seven PURPLE FINCHES (with three at the
feeder competing with the House Finches and Goldfinches.
Out near my driveway feeding site, a FOX SPARROW seemed to be
scolding me for not having the place very well stocked. I rushed out and
purchased some more seed.
