Thanks to Mary Ann Todd I saw the Brant at about 11:40 this morning still on
the rocks at the beginning of the rapids off Violette's Lock where Dave
Czaplak found it yesterday. I left it there around noon and drove up to Seneca.
By the time I got to the footbridge over Seneca Creek, the Brant was paddling
up the Potomac and was almost up to the creek mouth. I scanned the rapids
right away to see if there was still a Brant there, but saw none. So I believe
it was the same bird moving upriver.
J.B. Churchill found 7 at Rocky Gap in Allegany Co. yesterday.
