Yesterday was a good birding day for me. Here are the hightlights.

During the morning:
I saw my first White-throat of the season. I also heard a Brown Creeper
for the first time. (Thanks to some help. :) ) There was also a Junco
singing, which I was told was unusual for this time of year. All during
the day, I had up to 6 Goldfinches on my feeders. There were also
several hiding in the cedars. I was hoping to see at least one Pine
Siskin with them, but it didn't happen.

That afternoon:
I had a Red-tailed Hawk circling over my house. I got my first yard
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker yesterday afternoon. I believe it was a
juvenile male. It was very bold, flying from tree to tree, allowing me
to take a couple of nice pictures of it. There were also two Purple
Finches fighting for a good spot on the hatch feeder. They even tried
to eat from the finch feeder, but they were too big to perch on the pegs!

Today is starting out right, too. I just saw a Carolina Wren eating
peanut butter. :)
