Hi --

Stuck around the garden with visitors today, some of which were winged.
However, variety of butterflies greater than that of birds, which for the
last day of October, was unexpected!

Birds:

Ruby-crowned Kinglet (several)
Golden-crowned Kinglet (1-2)
RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH (1)
White-throated Sparrows (5-6)
Red-tailed Hawk (1)

Butterflies:

CLOUDLESS (GIANT) SULFUR (1, never expected this species in our yard)
Clouded Sulfur
Orange Sulfur
Cabbage White
Monarch
Hairstreak sp. (looked like Gray)
Common Checkered Skipper
Sachem (I think)

(The last three were nectaring at our neighbor's Buddleia and I couldn't see
them very closely)
