Two recent items from that the Washington Post - Anne Arundel County
Section; Animal Watch (cases received by the Anne Arundel County Animal
Control):

Not hilarious, but a cute animal / human vignette ... All's well that ends
well ... I guess.

23 Sep 2004:
Goose: Life of the Party
Annapolis, Route 50 West near Sandy Point State Park, Aug 28. Maryland
State Police discovered a goose in a car while making a stop for a traffic
violation. Police arrested the driver, and animal control impounded the bird.

When no one claimed the goose after five days, animal control took custody
of it. The friendly bird, which honks and flaps its wings when it sees
people, recently allowed second graders to pet it during a field trip to
the animal control facility,

Animal control is considering making the goose available for adoption or
keeping it as a mascot.

14 Oct 2004:
Man Reunited with Genial Goose
Millersviile, Maxwell Rd, 400 block, Oct 2. More than a month after being
arrested in an alleged traffic violation, a man claimed a goose that police
had found in his car Aug 28 on Route 50 west near Sandy Point State Park.
The bird, named Gooble Gooble, had been impounded. Animal control staff
members said they would miss the gregarious goose, which would greet them
by honking and flapping its wings.
