Do Mourning Doves eat Nyjer seed?  I scattered some old Nyjer seed on the mulch under hedges and shrubs in my back yard, since the Goldfinches don't like stale seed.  For 3 days thereafter there were about 15 Mourning Doves eating something in that area.
