Today I visited Cecil and Harford counties with Don Jewell.
Our first stop was Perryville Community Park where there were lots of waterfowl:

Canada Goose 27
Gadwall 75
Baldpate 4
Black Duck 26
Mallard 120
Shoveler 6
Redhead 5
Ring-necked Duck 2
Bufflehead 285
Goldeneye 2
Hooded Merganser 8
Ruddy Duck 17
Pied-billed Grebe 25
Great Blue Heron 1
Bald Eagle 2
Coot 130
Lesser Yellowlegs 8
Kingfisher 2

In the distance were more geese, 4 swans, more ducks, and two cormorants.

We searched for the Richardson's Cackling Goose reported previously by Matt Hafner near Level and found it in the field by the farm pond on Route 156 just south of Route 155. It was in a flock of about 500 Canada Geese and fairly close to the road. There were also about 20 Pipits and a Ruddy Duck here.

At Swan Harbor Farm Park we walked around the wetland area where there were many Canada Geese and Mallards, 70 Green-winged Teal, and 2 Pintail. Several Savannah Sparrows were along the edge. The highlight here was in the middle of the road __ a Snow Bunting!

We also stopped at Bosely Conservancy but it was quiet here in the middle of the afternoon and there was nothing notable except a lot of recent beaver activity.
