I wish we could resurrect the Montgomery County Mid-Winter count. It was
always my favorite.

Not seeing any recent reports from Little Seneca Lake I decided to check it
this afternoon. Not a great variety but always something interesting. I
did not get to the Ten Mile Creek section of the lake.

Bob,
The last Red-throated Loon I can remember in Montgomery County was about
10 years ago on the Montgomery Mid-winter count. It was found by Darius
Ecker (and seen only by him, I believe) on Triadelphia reservoir. I was an
area leader and it was in our area. A very good bird.

I am leading an MOS/MBC outing there tomorrow, and I hope the loon is
still present; it would be a county bird for me.Thanks for the tip,
