Phil,

Jim and I stopped by the restaurant on 11/7/04, the same day that we saw the redpolls and white pelicans at Pt. Lookout. When we pulled up, 'Shrimpy' was on one of the pillings behind the restaurant where he remained while we enjoyed lunch. That is until a boater pulled up to the dock to get some liquid refreshments, I mean supplies. At that time all of the gulls flushed and the Kelp Gull did return to its previous spot. We searched the area after lunch and failed to locate the bird. 
I hear Kelp Gulls taste just like chicken, Mmm Mmmm Good.
