If it really was the genuine article

The only zoo I knows that have Silver Gulls was at
National Zoo in D.C.  Few years ago, they have largest
collection and now just a few.   Someone mention few
year s back that one of the Silver Gull escape from
that zoo.  Not sure if it is true.
