Hi all,
 Dave Powell just phoned me (about 10:50 AM) to say (and ask me to  post) he 
has a juvenile SANDHILL CRANE in a winter wheat field on West  Willard Rd. 
south of Poolesville. He said the bird (a lone bird) was in a field  just before 
the Poolesville Public Golf Course, on the east/left side of the  road. He 
also said the wind is really picking up out there, so don't know how  long this 
bird will stick around. This is the same general are where a pair  showed up in 
August of 1995.
 
He is working so is likely to move on, but you can call him on his  cell for
