The weather was really weird yesterday--periods of sun, periods of dark clouds, occasional torrential downpours, and then sun again.  Very heavy winds most of the day.  The winds were easterly and we visited the inlet on an outgoing tide--VERY rough water conditions.  There were lots of sea ducks south of the South Jetty but the lighting and the rough water made it almost impossible to identify most of them, hence the low numbers reported below for scoter species (add about 45 scoter sp. to the jetty list).  Other wise though, not a bad day, and that turkey bird was one of the best!
