Many thanks to Jim Stasz and Matt Hafner, a good number of people were able
to observe two Cave Swallows, mostly south of the bridge (in poor light) but
occasionally north of the bridge in good light.  I got some great photos
despite the lighting.  I observed the birds between 11 am and 11:45.  They
were flying very high most of the time.  Other observers include Hans H.,
Paul and Michael O'Brien (good timing for the holidays!), a lot of our
Frederick County friends.

Fourth state bird of the year!!

   I just got a call from Matt Hafner.  He is at Lilypons with Jim Stasz and
Mike Burchett.  They are watching two CAVE SWALLOWS at the Lilypons Road
bridge.  There are no other swallows present.
