John Hubbell just called to say that he is watching four CAVE SWALLOWS at
BLACK HILL reservoir. He and they are at the bridge where the state road
crosses the lake. He also has the Eared Grebe there.

Rob,
Thanks for the call. Maybe I have time in the early AM to head back out
there (yet again); was out there all morning leading a trip, and no sign of any
swallows up through noon or so. The Eared Grebe was still feeding right here it
was yesterday, by the floating boat docks. We have to drive my daughter back
up to UDel tomorrow, so may not have time at all.
Anybody out at Black Hill tomorrow should keep an eye out for a possible
hybrid goose. It came in with a flock of Canada's, and the nearest thing I could
call it was a SnowXCanada Goose. Hard to describe, but very striking. It swam
off from the main flock with an individual Canada Goose. Wish I'd had my
camera...
Please if you look for the Cave Swallows at BH tomorrow, either call someone
who can post here or try and post yourself, ASAP. This is (I believe) a first
county record, and documentation would be nice.
