Hi all,

The Calliope Hummingbird continues in the Laurel/Bowie area of Maryland. I'm
not going to be able to respond to emails over the next couple of weeks, so
Phil Davis has graciously agreed to provide directions to those that need them.
If you would like to visit this bird, email Phil at
The Calliope continues as of this morning.

Please continue to follow the owners requests as follows.
- Please don't arrive before 9 AM (some neighbors sleep late)
- Always park in an unnumbered space in the townhome area (there may not be
much parking on the weekends, then park near the pool and walk back the tenth
of a mile).
- Please don't post directions to the bird on the web

When it's warm the Calliope can be absent for several hours in the middle of
the day. She (it's an HY Female) is most reliable in the afternoon from
230ish on. The feathers on the breast that were missing at the beginning of her
stay are growing in now.

We've been able to have several hundred visitors see this bird without
offending the neighborhood or the homeowners. Thanks to everyone for their
consideration, especially those who have taken the time to show the bird to the
neighbors!
