Hi All,
Took a drive out to Rocky Gap SP this morning. The pair of
Cackling Geese stayed in close proximity of each other the whole
time of observation. The whole group of approx. 150-200 Canada
Geese moved from one beach area ( where the small inlet is ) to
the main beach area in the recreational park.

Noticeably smaller with a "stubby" bill, short neck and a distinct
grayish tone overall when compared to it's larger counterparts.

Ran into Harvey Mudd from Bethesda, MD while I was there.... We
got some great looks!!

Also present:
   Hooded Merganser 7
   Ruddy Duck 25
   American Coot 5

Many thanks to John Churchill for the post......

I've posted a couple of digiscoped pics at the web site below. Also the MD Kelp Gull and
the Calliope at Laurel.

Good birding,
