Watching the Maine Bird Alert, it didn't appear that this was going to be a
particularly good year for some hoped-for invasive species (that is, they
are seeing very few northern owls, Pine Grosbeaks or WW Crossbills) BUT...
the most recent tape reports this tempting bit of news:

"Reports of huge flocks of BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS are coming
from just across the border in New Brunswick. "

Better keep looking at any large Waxwing flocks -- hey, you never know...!
