To avoid having Matt call me out as a lurker...

Jim Brighton and I stayed in Maryland this weekend and birded
several mid-shore counties. Highlights:

Black Walnut Point, Talbot County, 12/11
 - All 3 scoters, including at least 4 White-winged
 - Red-throated and Common Loons
 - Many Long-tailed Ducks

Beulah Landfill, Dorchester County, 12/11
 - 2 Glaucous Gulls (but no Iceland or Lesser Black-backed)

Choptank Marina, Caroline County, 12/11
 - 1 Common Loon

Wicomico County, 12/12
 - 1 Fox Sparrow (seen and heard singing) at Old Rt. 50 marsh
 - Barren Creek Pond had a nice assortment of dabblers -- Northern
Shoveler, American Wigeon, Gadwall, Wood Duck, Black Duck,
    Mallard, Canada Goose, Tundra Swan
 - The scoter raft in the Nanticoke River near Nanticoke was difficult
to scan due to wind and rough water. Many Surfs, but only picked
out 1 Black and no White-winged. Also Common Goldeneye and
    Red-throated Loon.
 - Pied-billed Grebes -- 2 in Wicomico River at end of Clara Rd and 1
in Salisbury at the Waterfowl Museum.
