Bill Hubick and I photographed the adult Black-headed Gull at Schoolhouse
Pond around 1:30 PM on Saturday 12/18. Also present was a 2nd year Glaucous
Gull, towering above the Ring-billed Gulls. There were six species of gulls
at the pond. The others were Laughing, Herring, and Great Black-backed.
Twice the gulls were spooked by raptors while we watched. The first time was
a Red-tailed Hawk and the second was by two Bald Eagles. Bill will probably
post the shots he got of the Black-headed Gull to his web site, later.
