Hi all,

After two unsuccessful trips to Southwest Area Park in Baltimore City, I headed down again this morning with the help of my father. During our short stay there this morning I found a HY male common yellowthroat, and then a male pheasant flushed from my feet. Third time's the charm! This was a state bird for me. While we were getting ready to leave a peregrin falcon flew about 30 feet over our heads.

We have a red-breasted nuthatch at the feeders for the first time. It is coming in very close to the back of the house but is quite wary, making pictures difficult. Great morning and hopefully a great week to come. See you all on the Christmas counts.
