Paul Pisano just called with news of a Greater
White-fronted Goose with a pinky bill, along the
Anacostia River. This was in the segment of the park
downriver from Pennsylvania Avenue and upriver from
the "295" bridge (I'm using Mapquest hear at w*rk and
I can never remember the names of the bridges). It is
presumably in a flock of Canada Geese.
He also had a (male?) Greater Scaup in Washington
Channel and possibly an immature Northern Goshawk at
Haines Point/West Potomac Park.
