Hello Everyone. I spent a couple of hours at the Cecil landfill today
and 1 hour at North East town park.

At the landfill I had a 2nd Winter Glaucous Gull as my main highlight.
I also have pictures of it, if anyone wants to see it. There were many Lesser Black
-backed Gulls I counted at least 5 Adults and 4 sub-adults. With a total of about
2500 gulls total. Mostly Ring-billed Gulls, but a good mix.

Down the hill in North East Town Park, I almost fell over when I saw all of the Gulls on
the Ice. My best estimate would be around 4000 birds. Almost to many to look thru
when the wind is blowing in your face coming off the Ice. BURRR.
Anyway, My highlights there would be 2 sub-adult Iceland Gulls and a unbelievable
10 Adult Lesser Black-backed gulls. I have many pictures with some of the
Lesser's side by side. It is interesting to see the different plumages these birds take on
as Adults. I did manage to find a couple of sub-adult Lesser's here too. A young Bald Eagle
kept things stirred up down there, trying to land in with the Gulls. It was
as if he couldn't understand why they didn't like it. He kept trying for a while.

The Town park is the watering hole for the Cecil Landfill Gulls and is worth trying for
many gulls species.

Good Birding.
