Blue Mash Nature Trail, Zion Road, Montgomery County, 22 Dec 04, 0700-0830 

American Tree Sparrows were the stars along the BMNT this morning with at
least 12 observed.  Other highlights included a perched & up-close juvenile
Cooper's Hawk, Fox Sparrow (~10), House Finch (3 males/1 female) and Purple
Finch (1 male/1 female).  Northern Cardinal were conspicuously abundant,
while woodpeckers were conspicuously absent.  Both ponds are still frozen
over, hence, no waterfowl.
