Did some scouting today for tomorrow's Sugarloaf CBC -- in general it was
rather quiet (we do Sector 6) but we did manage to hear the VIRGINIA RAIL at
Lilypons, also quite a few Tree Sparrows there, and one small flock of
Horned Larks on Rt. 85 held both Lapland Longspur and American Pipit.

Checking out an area not in our sector (Sector 3), we found a small flock of
White-crowned Sparrows, some Savannah Sparrows and a VESPER SPARROW, all
feeding in corn stubble along with commoner species.
