Watch for northern owls in Maryland

Below is a cross-post from Birdchat (see the third paragraph).

 From our Maryland perspective, we'd probably rather see such an invasion 
in Ontario rather than Minnesota, but still this is a significant owl 
incursion. Keep alert a vagrant Great-Gray Owl, Northern Hawk-Owl, or 
Boreal Owl to drop in to Maryland, perhaps in the western part of the state 
... especially we start to see any reports from Pennsylvania. With all of 
the state and county listing competitive birders out there covering the 
state this year, our chances for finding one of these northern owls is 
probably even greater than usual ...
