I was at Ripley Gardens, DC, this morning from 9:35-10:05 a.m., and after
15 minutes' wait was rewarded with fine views of the female Rufous
Hummingbird, which alighted on a nearby tree and drank from one of the two
feeders.

Also present on this warm morning were:

	- the female Common Yellowthroat posted a few days ago. Surprisingly
un-shy...
	- Carolina Wren
	- numerous (8-12) House Sparrows
	- a bird I took to be a Song Sparrow (sparrows aren't my strong suit) that
was banded on both legs with blue and red bands. Any one know the history of
this bird?

	Good Birding!
