Greetings,

The Kent County Bird Club will start off the New Year's field trips with a half-day trip to explore Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, 8 January. A variety of waterfowl, including Tundra Swans and large rafts of bay ducks, will highlight the trip, although we will also spend time searching for wintering landbirds such as a variety of sparrows, catbird, and Hermit Thrush. We will meet at 8:00 AM at the Dollar General store off of Philosopher's Terrace in Chestertown. Make sure you prepare for the weather by choosing appropriate gear for conditions - there is a 40% chance of rain in Saturday's predicted forecast. If you wish to communicate with us about the trip and meeting place our contact information appears below within our signature block. We hope to see you there.

Good Birding
