While looking around in the fog this afternoon in Talbot County, I
checked the ponds along Spring Road near Oxford and found one Great Egret,
two Gadwall, and one American Black Duck amongst the 75 Mallards over there.
At home on Leeds Creek the Canada Goose flock has grown to around
6000 birds. Sprinkled amongst them in the last few days were two Ruddy
Ducks, one Ring-necked Duck and five Lesser Scaup. The local Mallard flock
has grown to over 100.
Feeder birds have continued to include a Red-breasted Nuthatch and
an occasional Fox Sparrow.
