	Lisa and I are shooting for 200 North American birds this year - not a lot
for many on this list, I'm sure, but a decent challenge for two moderately
experienced birders with jobs, kids and commutes....

	Following several of the posts from late last week, we headed south on
Saturday from Annapolis to St. Mary's County in hopes of seeing the Kelp
Gull and White-Winged Scoter. Somehow managed to miss both (or at least
failed to get a conclusive ID) but had a grand afternoon nonetheless. Year
birds in list below are preceeded by an asterisk:

	Cape St. Claire, AA COunty, feeder:

	* Blue Jay
	Red-Bellied Woodpecker
	Common Grackle
	White-Throated Sparrow
	Carolina Wren
	Dark-Eyed Junco
	Mourning Dove
	Red-Breasted Nuthatch
	Tufted Titmouse
	European Starling

	Annapolis, AA County, and environs:

	American Crow
	Northern Mockingbird
	* Black Vulture
	Piegon
	* Turkey Vulture

	Route 506, near Prince Frederick, Calvert County:

	* Wild Turkey (one male, six females)
	* Eastern Bluebird (pair in fly-by)

	Patuxent River Bridge, border of Calvert and Charles Counties:

	Red-Tailed Hawk
	* Bufflehead
	* Double-Crested Cormorant
	Canada Goose
	Mallard
      * Canvasback

	Seabreeze Restaurant, Sandgates, St. Mary's County (two birders from N
Carolina were here, also looking for the Kelp Gull)

	Ring-Billed Gull
	* Bald Eagle
	* Greater Black-Backed Gull

	Point Lookout State Park, St. Mary's County:

	* Surf Scoter
	* Black Scoter
	* Long-Tailed Duck
	Scaup, sp.
	* Common Goldeneye
	* Mute Swan
	* Horned Grebe
	Great Blue Heron

	Good Birding!
